Local Authorities - How we can help

Community Computers understands that you want the very best for your area and residents. That’s why we work hard to provide affordable and free devices back to your residents and digital inclusion teams in order to target the most digitally excluded areas.

Not only do we offer a fully tracked asset management solution, that is 100% transparent in what we do, but we delivery 50% ofthe laptops we process back to social value.

Residents - How you can help

We work with local libraries in Stockport and Manchester, who have agreed to act as drop-off points for your donations. They will hold your equipment securely and hold it for us until we collect it (roughly every 2-3 weeks).

All your equipment goes through he exact same data destruction processes as our business suppliers and we generate all the same evidence for our external auditors – the only difference is we don’t send you copies of those certificates to cut down on administration.

We understand that your data is of a huge concern.

That’s why Community Computers has data destruction at it’s core. We have invested a huge resources around getting data destruction right, from physical crushing machines and magnetic degaussing machine to software solutions – we take what we do very seriously.

We also work with some of the largest national businesses in the UK – handling thousands of peices of equipment evey month. Our bespoke systems allow us to keep track of everything, knowing where it came from , where it’s upto and eventually, where it went.
