Question: What do two schools, one business, one local authority and one faith-based charity have in common?

Answer: They all love partnering together in Stockport to tackle the digital divide. They love to ensure that some of our most under-resourced families get the support they need to not get left behind in our increasingly digital world.

The Deloitte Group (business) donated a large number of their laptops to Stockport Council (local authority) to be used as part of their DigiKnow digital strategy; focused on ensuring all the residents of Stockport have the opportunity to get digitally connected.

Stockport Council partner with Community Computers (faith-based charity) to refurbish, license and make ready laptops for distribution to those working with individuals and families who are at greatest risk of being left out or left behind in our digital world.

And then that is where our wonderful Stockport, Brinnington schools come in. On the frontline of community involvement, our schools are best placed to target the families that most need help to get online. So, Community Computers partner with the schools who then so effectively partner with their school families and… all the dots get joined!

Sector by sector partnering in Stockport is strong and effective.
